The wearing feel is the same, but the Mi Band 5’s strap is more durable

The wearing feel of the Mi Band 5 is similar to its predecessor—light and comfortable. The back of the device features two magnetic charging pins, very convenient, similar to the charging mechanism of smartwatches. It’s quite convenient, and users don’t need to remove the strap.

And the version I have on hand is the familiar traditional Black, which is also less prone to showing dirt.

In addition, the rubber strap of the Mi Band 5 has been thickened for increased durability. The size of the Mi Band 5 is just right, neat, and doesn’t bulge out like smartwatches. Even women will find it comfortable and elegant.

Overall, the appearance of the Mi Band 5 hasn’t changed much. The most noticeable changes come from the magnetic charging connection and the more durable strap.
Features many useful functions, especially health tracking
The heart rate and step counting sensors in the previous generation were heavily criticized by users due to inaccuracies. Understanding this issue, Xiaomi has improved the Mi Band 5, resulting in more accurate measurements, although the measurement process takes a little longer. The product also supports various workouts, including 11 different exercises such as yoga, outdoor running, swimming in a pool, indoor cycling, jumping rope, high-intensity walking, etc.

Generally, the tracking is basic; we shouldn’t expect too much, but for under $100, it’s good.

The Mi Band 5 supports a Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) score, a personalized health tracking metric that monitors your daily activity and provides an average score. This allows you to plan your future physical training. Additionally, the device supports REM sleep tracking, the stage of sleep where your eyes move rapidly and your brain is highly active.

The Mi Band 5 features a 1.1-inch AMOLED color touchscreen, a 20% increase in display size compared to its predecessor. The display offers a slightly larger viewing area and high brightness, but some Vietnamese characters still have font rendering issues.
To optimize the Mi Band 5’s features and facilitate setup, download the Mi Fit app on your smartphone:
The Mi Band 5’s battery life is quite good, lasting up to 14 days. It also offers useful features such as music playback, incoming call notifications, weather forecasts, and acts as a remote shutter for your smartphone.
Overall Conclusion
The Mi Band 5 has added many features compared to its predecessor, while its appearance hasn’t changed drastically. The cost is reasonable for what you get, making it suitable for students and young users who want basic health tracking. This product will likely be popular; do you agree?
